Commercial partnerships
at Phoenix Group

We’re very proud of the partners and suppliers that we work with. They help us create business processes, technology and financial platforms that deliver best in class capabilities to our people and our customers. Our Commercial Partnership team research, select and engage our partners to ensure that we continue to deliver these high-quality, cost-effective and efficient solutions.

We work with suppliers throughout the lifecycle of our partnership, providing procurement, governance and commercial expertise and leadership. Our work isn’t simply about driving down costs. It’s about increasing efficiencies - right across the Phoenix Group.

Our Commercial Partnership Teams

Outsourcer Management and MI

Our Outsourcer Management and MI team manage the strategic, operational and commercial relationships with our Outsourced Service Partners. Where necessary we support the delivery of strategic projects and change programmes, as well as producing regular performance reports for our internal stakeholders.

My Career
Life Story

Jonathon Hocker, MI Analyst.

A balance between my work life and home life is really important to me. So, as well as the chance to work for a large financial business, I was attracted by the convenient transport links, on-site facilities and the fancy building.

Phoenix does everything it can to remove any barriers to working here. The free top-end, gourmet-style lunches cooked on-site for staff are excellent and there’s a company bus that shuttles staff from the office to the train station. This gives me a unique opportunity to earn a decent salary and still catch the 4.55pm train home every day.

My Career
Life Story

Emma Goodwin, Head of Procurement.

I was attracted to the Phoenix Group because it was a large, successful company based in the Midlands, offering opportunities to grow. It’s an exciting place to work, with continuous development opportunities, and there’s something to look forward to every day. Operations is incredibly fast-paced and gives you the chance to really make a difference.

It’s the people and the diverse culture that really make it a great place to work. Not to mention the fabulous location and the on-site facilities.

My Career
Life Story

Sian Bowen, Senior Relationship Manager.

My role’s very varied because, although there’s a cycle of tasks that must be done, a lot of my role involves problem-solving to support outsource partners or internal teams. This means I get to interact with a wide range of people. Because each day’s different, you’re continually learning.

Phoenix is a rapidly changing organisation, which offers plenty of opportunity to get involved in project work, helping shape the future of the organisation and developing new skills. It’s challenging and demanding work in a friendly environment, where your hard work is recognised and rewarded.

My Career

Jordan Morris, Operational Governance Consultant.

The company does a lot for the local area and, with all the volunteering you can take part in, you feel like you’re making a difference to the community. They also encourage flexible working, so the work/life balance is good. The location’s great too, with fantastic facilities.

Since joining Phoenix, I’ve had many opportunities to develop my career and have taken each and every one of them. Nearly five years on and I’m still really enjoying myself and continuing to develop my career.
