What in your opinion was the best thing about being a Finance Change Manager within Phoenix?

The best things about being a Finance Change Manager within Phoenix are being able to work on a variety of challenging projects and being part of a very experienced, strong and supportive team of project managers.

What development opportunities did it present?

No matter how long you’ve worked as a project manager, there are always opportunities to strengthen your stakeholder management skills. The projects here involve a wide range staff from right across the business, from excellent SMEs to board level sponsors, so this forces you to develop and adapt your approach in order to be successful. Many projects here also require you to take something from initiation right through to close down, ensuring real business benefit is delivered. This gives you the chance to own the project and demonstrate your skills across the whole project lifecycle.

  1. Good stakeholder management and general people skills to be able to build trust, have honest conversations and avoid surprises.
